Techno-Ocean 2016 will be held for three days from October 6 to 8, 2016 at the Kobe Convention Center, Kobe, Japan. Since 1986, Techno-Ocean has been held as a forum for communicating and exchanging the information regarding the ocean related technologies. With the ʻOceanʼ as its common keyword, International exhibition and meetings on advanced technology will be held during the congress this year.

As Kobe will host OCEANS ’18 MTS/IEEE Kobe / Techno-Ocean 2018 (OTO ’18) co-sponsored by Marine Technology Society and IEEE Ocean Engineering Society in 2018, Techno-Ocean 2016 will organize an international symposium open to the members across the academic societies, and we invite the authors from around the world, as well as Japan, to contribute papers. Not only the conference provides a forum for a comprehensive review of the current ocean related technologies from around the globe, the meeting will provide a great networking opportunity to meet the colleagues in the community and share information. We also encourage students to apply for Student Poster Competition to be held in conjunction with this symposium.

We hope Techno-Ocean 2016 will be a truly interdisciplinary meeting where the researchers, project leaders and planners from the industry and academia concerned with ocean related programs to meet and learn about the latest technological developments and communicate their study globally. We strongly encourage everyone to consider presenting at this conference.
